Adding a Service Subcategory
Service Subcategories allow you to further organise your platform’s services under relevant Service Categories. This is especially important for large marketplaces and multi-industry vendors who offer dozens—or even hundreds—of services.
Whether your platform is a single-vendor setup or a full multivendor marketplace, using subcategories helps customers quickly browse, filter and find what they need.

Steps to Add a New Service Subcategory
- Go to: Admin Dashboard → Services → Service Subcategories
- Click the Add Service Subcategory button.
- Fill out the following fields:
- Service Category — Select the parent category this subcategory belongs to.
- Service Subcategory Name — Enter the name customers and vendors will see.
- Service Subcategory Status — Choose whether this subcategory should be Active or Inactive.
You can keep a subcategory inactive if you want to prepare it in advance for a future rollout.
Once all details are filled in, click Add to create the subcategory.
Single Vendor vs Multivendor Notes
- Single Vendor: Helps group your services neatly (e.g., “Hair”, “Nails”, “Massage”).
- Multivendor: Subcategories are essential for marketplace browsing and search filters.
