Deleting a Service Subcategory
If a Service Subcategory is no longer needed, you can safely delete it. Deleting does not remove the services inside it — those services will simply return to an unassigned state until you reassign them.
How to Delete a Subcategory
- Go to Services → Service Subcategories.
- Locate the subcategory you wish to remove.
- Click the Delete (trash) icon in the Actions column.
- Review the confirmation message.
- Click Delete to confirm.
Important Notes
- Services inside a deleted subcategory are not removed.
- Vendors using those services will not be affected (they remain active).
- You may reassign services to another subcategory at any time.
- For multivendor platforms, avoid deleting subcategories that vendors actively rely on unless reorganizing system-wide.
Deleting unused or outdated subcategories helps keep your platform clean and easy to navigate.
